Looking for a Videographer
by Dave Wilson on Nov.13, 2010, under Photography
A group of HDR photographers I am involved with on Facebook is trying to pull together a charity project and we’re looking for a skilled videographer who would be interested in helping us out. The plan is to produce a DVD containing examples of our work along with hints and tips on improving your HDR work and we need someone who can cut the whole thing together nicely and add a soundtrack. If you are experienced at that kind of work and interested in helping out, please leave a comment or drop me a line via the contact form.
People involved so far include (in no particular order) Scott Wyden Kivowitz, Oliver Fluck, Scott Frederick, Trey Ratcliff, Jacob Lucas, Pat O’Brien, Mike Olbinski, Phil Cohen, James Howe, Brian Matiash, Bob Lussier, David Nightingale, Jeff Revell, CJ Kern and Jacques Gudé.
We’ve not finalised on a charity that will benefit from any proceeds yet but the current front runner deals with providing clean water supplies to third-world villages. I’ll post more news as the project progresses.

Hi Dave,
I sent Scott Wyden an email yesterday about this project so this might be redundant.
I would love to get involved in a something like this, I definitely have the skill-sets necessary. I’m the Senior Post Production editor for Dateline NBC and have been working as an editor for over 23 years. I have a Sony NX5U pro camera that I have been using to document some live shows for an organization here in New York called The Black Rock Coalition. You can see examples of these shows on my new Vimeo page at http://vimeo.com/editguy.
I’m also an amateur photographer and have been shooting since high school. I have been following you, Scott, Brian, Trey and the rest of the crowd for a while now and really admire not only the great work you are posting, but the helpful information you collectively are sharing with the community.
I look for creative projects like these to fill my evenings and weekends, and view this and an tremendous opportunity to work with some amazing artists. Let me know if I can be of any help.
Peace
Bill Bryant

Thanks for the offer, Bill. If you’ve already contacted Scott, that’s great. He’s the driving force on this project so no doubt he will get back to you soon. I suspect the job would be more editing than shooting since the folks involved are scattered over a very wide geographic area and will so will have to provide their own video if any is to be included. The thing that we really need is someone who can put a professional looking presentation together with well-cut music.
